Senior Audit and Compliance Manager
Thomas started his Accountancy journey in 2000 where he began working in industry, but after a few years, Thomas was invited to change direction and move to working in practice at Dunkley’s.
Since joining Dunkley’s in 2005 Thomas has qualified with ACCA and has progressed through Dunkleys into the role of Associate, and oversees the audit services that Dunkley’s offers. With over 20 years’ experience, Thomas is very knowledgeable when it comes to all aspects of audit, accountancy, tax and VAT.
His specialism, lies in audit and reporting for larger companies and groups, leading the firm’s assurance teams, and working with charities to help them meet their responsibilities. Thomas now leads the Dunkley’s audit department and enjoys sharing his knowledge with the next generation of accountants in Dunkley’s.
Thomas supports the Charitable sector by providing his clients with the peace of mind they need to ensure their financial returns are compliant with the Charities Act and other regulations. To further this, Thomas undertakes charity audits and independent examinations for a variety of charitable organisations.
Thomas is also one of Dunkley’s Healthcare specialists and works alongside Dental, Optic and Pharmaceutical professionals who run their own practices or are self-employed. He provides them with the technical expertise that extends beyond compliance and helps them to understand and fulfil their sectors professional obligations.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoys spending time with his family, going camping, playing board games with his friends and practising woodworking.
